Senior Planet Sponsored Athlete Application
The Senior Planet Sponsored Athlete program is back again! Are you an older athlete who is ready to share their fitness journey with the Senior Planet digital community? Enter and you could become a 2024 Senior Planet Sponsored Athlete and receive a $1000 prize to be used toward achieving your fitness goals. Up to five older athletes will be selected.
To enter, fill out the form below to submit a 250-word (minimum) description of your fitness area of interest and experience with Senior Planet by December 15, 2023. Senior Planet Sponsored Athletes will be selected and notified on or about January 8, 2024. Read the complete rules here.
Selection Criteria
- Someone who engages in some type of sport or fitness activity 3x per week.
- Men and women 60+ from across a range of socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Applicant must be willing to share their fitness story and experience with the Senior Planet digital community, and will be required to:
- Be interviewed and photographed for a dedicated introduction and follow-up articles on seniorplanet.org.
- Agree to let Senior Planet use their photo and story on social media, email, website and all digital mediums for promotion among the Senior Planet digital community.
- Lead at least two live fitness classes or webinars/events for the Senior Planet digital community during the year 2024, and write accompanying blog posts for seniorplanet.org.
- Applicant must agree to use the $1000 prize toward achieving their fitness goals (ex: monthly gym membership, workout equipment, race entry fees, etc.).
- Take the following three (free) Senior Planet virtual classes: Introduction to Hosting on Zoom, Virtual Orientation to Senior Planet, and Finding Community with SPC (Senior Planet Community).
