I retired. Then the crash hit. from Macneil-Lehrer Productions on Vimeo.
Reinvention: It’s the new buzzword in the world of work for people 60-plus. Our parents retired, and that was it for work. But for many seniors today, full retirement is not an option. Some, like the woman featured in this video, lost nest eggs in the great recession; others just can’t imagine living another 20 years or more without the sense of purpose and structure that work provides. Either way, the need to keep working on your own terms can produce some creative solutions.
A new career in your 60s or 70s? Why not.
This summer, the Senior Planet Exploration Center in NYC is focusing on “Explore… Work.” Watch the Events Calendar for work-related events on 25th Street and SeniorPlanet.org for more about workplace issues and creative solutions.

AS SENIOR I KNOW WHAT IT MEANS TO NOT BE ABLE TO DO THE THINGS THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT HOLDING GOOD ON YOUR OWN . IT IS VERY HARD AND IT CANT TAKE A TOLL ON YOUR BODY. BUT NEVER GIVE UP ALWAYS LOOK UP AND BE PROUD OF YOURSELF.
