Tyson can be a pretentious twit, but he nails it. His comparison to a mayfly is wonderful, and I think he’s right: it’s all about living in the moment. It’s especially gratifying to hear this from a scientist, as the scientific community can get caught up in trying to “fix aging” rather than trying to come to terms with it.
