WATCH: Facebook’s Oldest User

A few months ago, Edythe Kirchmaier hit a wall when she was trying to create a Facebook account. The social networking site would not let her enter her birth year: 1908.  That year was considered “invalid.”

At 105 , Kirchmaier is now Facebook’s oldest registered user. She has more than 45,000 followers and uses her account to make a difference; she’s a longtime volunteer for Direct Relief.

According to the Daily News, Kirchmaier got an iPad mini for Christmas and uses it to email, play computer games and Google information.

“I use the internet when I’m interested in something or someone. I find it very educational,” she told the Daily News in February.
