Meet the Senior Planet NYC Team

Thomas Kamber, PhD, Executive Director, OATS/Senior Planet

As founding executive director in 2004 of Older Adults Technology Services (OATS), the country’s largest municipal technology program for seniors, Dr. Kamber provides the vision and leadership for Senior Planet. Dr. Kamber is also a co-founder and board member of the Afro-Latin Jazz Alliance and the New York Memory Center. He teaches courses at Columbia University on social entrepreneurship, urban research and the social implications of technology.

Kimberly Brennsteiner, Director of Programs

Kimberly is responsible for the program development, design, and implementation for OATS and the Exploration Center. For the past 15-plus years, she’s worked in innovative educational and nonprofit settings with people ranging in age from 3 to 103.  Kimberly grew up in Colorado, has lived on both coasts and in Europe, but feels most at home in NYC. When she’s not working, you can find her hiking or birdwatching.

Alex Glazebrook, Director of Technology & Training

Alex manages Senior Planet’s team of trainers and makes sure members enjoy an outstanding experience at the center. He’s also our tech guru (ask him about his Apple Watch!). Alex is pursuing his PhD in social welfare policy, investigating the ways technology influences health outcomes for older adults. He keeps extra-busy competing in marathons and caring for his English Bulldog.
