Senate Special Committee on Aging: Seniors and Technology

Earlier this month, the Senate Special Committee on Aging convened a panel to consider the question: Can advances in digital technology help seniors live independently?

The panel discussed assistive technologies such as sensor-based monitoring systems, tele-health and wearable devices that are already available or in development, and looked at the thorny issue of privacy.
