We are excited to remind you about a tool we built a while back that’s become even more important right now as older adults are being urged to stay at home.
Our virtual course Ready, Set, Bank is a completely free and easy-to-use tool that teaches you how to bank online with any banking institution. With online banking, you can avoid having to visit your local bank branch— you have 24/7 account access to make payments, view transactions, check your balance, and more, all from home.
Tom Kamber, Executive Director of OATS & Senior Planet, welcomes you to the world of online banking.
Ready, Set, Bank
The Ready, Set, Bank portal features a series of short videos that will show you how to enroll in online banking, check your balance, transfer funds, pay bills, download your bank’s app, and more. Tutorials include:
You can watch— and rewatch— all the videos at www.readysetbank.org. They’re also available in Spanish on the same site.
Practice Your Skills
The Ready, Set, Bank demo site allows you to build familiarity with online banking features. You can practice using the features without having an account or providing access to your personal information.
You can easily walk through the banking scenarios listed below:
Check balances and review account activity
Set up and manage account alerts and notifications
Set up and pay bills for an existing account
Add a new payee to Bill Pay
Transfer funds between accounts
Add a new account
Use person-to-person payments through Zelle
Try out the demo site today and practice online banking!
This demo experience is built with static screens to simulate a real website. Because it is not a fully functioning website, some buttons, icons and text fields seen on screen are visual elements only and are not functional. The demo elements that are functional will have a blue box flash when you click in any empty space on the screen. Text fields do not allow typing and will automatically pre-fill with example data when clicked.
I need 30000 credits and I did 300 gtas
This series should include depositing checks electronically. It’s a fantastic feature in these times of not being able to go to the bank. And super easy
I agree. That would be most helpful.
Is it possible to send checks virtually to another person, and then can that person send the same check to his/her/their account?
You can send money to another person’s account with a service called Zelle, which is available on several major banking websites! Senior Planet will be offering a virtual class on this soon, or you can look for it on the demo site!
