Senior Planet at the Malone Adult Center
Senior Planet Tech Spot at the Malone Adult Center offers a range of free 5- and 10-week technology courses that require advance registration, as well as bi-weekly tech help. For courses and events at Senior Planet Exploration Center in Champlain Centre, click here.
Register for the summer quarter on June 24th and 25th from 10am – 2:00pm at the Malone Adult Center. You must register in person. Classes will fill on a first-come, first-serve basis; if you are placed on a waitlist, you will be notified of open seats in the first two weeks of the course. The Malone Adult Center is open 9am – 4pm, Monday – Friday. Senior Planet staff will be present during course sessions.

Summer Quarter Courses
Mondays & Wednesdays, 10:30 – 11:45am
Get an introduction to the popular Apple tablet. With hands-on support, you’ll learn the basics of the iPad and how to use it to browse the web, use email, download apps, watch video, take pictures, connect online and more.
Note: iPads will be provided for use.
Computer experience prerequisite: This is a course that is appropriate for absolute beginners.
Mondays & Wednesdays, 1:00 – 2:15pm
This 10-week course meets twice per week and sets the foundation for a safe exercise program. The class explores basic exercises, nutrition, and mental health. It is best suited for those who are new to wellness and exercising. You will learn to use an iPad and other technologies to gain a basic understanding of physical activity, nutrition, and stress management. Classroom sessions will also include movement to help you learn about the body and how to stay fit.
Prerequisites: This course is best suited for those who are new to wellness and exercising. You must have an email address that you use. You should also be somewhat comfortable navigating websites and searching for information on the internet.
Membership and access to our classes, workshops and special events is offered free of charge. However, as a nonprofit, we happily accept donations.
