With a background in communications, Johnny Hernandez has worked in television production and print journalism fields; but the best career change he made was when he became a Technology Trainer with the Senior Planet program in San Antonio in 2019. The most rewarding aspect of Johnny’s job is when he is able to make life easier for his students by teaching them something new about technology they can use in their everyday lives.

Aside from this passion, Johnny’s other interest is music. He has been a musician (drumming for several musical projects) for the past 30+ years, and has always felt that drumming has kept him young at heart and healthy all around. Johnny has also been able to combine both passions by sharing his drumming knowledge as a tool for therapy and exercise through various online Senior Planet events.
