DeAnne C. Cuellar

State Director

DeAnne is a tech equity advocate and communications strategist from San Antonio, Texas. She is currently the Texas State Director of Older Adults Technology Services (OATS) and serves as Mayor Ron Nirenberg’s digital inclusion appointee to the City of San Antonio’s Innovation & Technology Committee. She co-founded the Media Justice League with the Office of Communication, Inc., and grassroots organizations in San Antonio, advocating media justice and digital inclusion for historically underrepresented communities. She works with groups to spearhead media monitoring research, media literacy initiatives and advocates at the local, state, and national level for systems which provide accurate media representation of local communities, technology-inspired skills programs and affordable high-speed internet access. She blogs about music, media, and technology and is a freelance content creator published in the Huffington Post, Bustle, San Antonio Current, and the Express-News.

San Antonio Program Lead

A resident of San Antonio, Darryl manages the operational and administrative process for his team of 10 trainers while enhancing community relations with existing and new partners. He has a Master in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s in Psychology. Additional work experience include international development with the United States Peace Corps, logistics with United States Department of the Army and family wellness. Darryl is a proud father of two kidos, Mateo and Elena, and loves working with older adults. On his free time Darryl enjoys cycling, kayaking and enjoying the outdoors with his family.
