Whether you’re new to Facebook or an avid user, it’s a good idea to routinely check your privacy settings. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to find and edit your default privacy settings for your Facebook account. You’ll decide who can see your future posts, who can send you friend requests, how you get message requests, and more. We’ll also discuss Facebook’s options for blocking users, best practices concerning linking Facebook with other websites or apps, and how to manage data that Facebook uses to show you ads.

Elizabeth started at OATS in 2025. She has a bachelor’s degree in management psychology. With over 20+ years’ experience working in Human Services, she served in various civil service positions within the federal government and the State of North Carolina. Elizabeth enjoys her position as a trainer for Senior Planet. As a senior herself, she enjoys watching the faces of the students when they learn something new.
