DuoLingo is a fun and free way to learn a new language! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how DuoLingo works and explore the features of the app yourself. You’ll also download the app on your phone and create a profile. You’ll be able to start learning a new language by the time the workshop ends!

Major (Ret.) Rolona D. Brown is a U.S. Army combat veteran with over 26 years of service and a strong background in leadership, education, and technology training. She holds a master’s degree in business with a focus on Supply Chain Management and joined the OATS team in 2025. Rolona enjoys helping older adults improve their quality of life, confidence, and independence and with technology. She lives in Texas and enjoys traveling, working in her home garden, and expressing her creativity through baking and DIY projects.
