Senior Planet is transforming social media through its new, ad-free site Senior Planet Community (SPC), a place for older adults to make friends, share their interests, and age with attitude. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll sign up for SPC and learn about its key features. You’ll explore the many groups where you can connect with others, learn about posting and messaging, and discuss the site’s safety and privacy features.

Nathan Swan is a professional public speaker and expert facilitator at Senior Planet’s North Country center, bringing over 2,000 hours of workshop experience to the community. Nathan is known for his ability to translate complicated subjects into accessible, engaging lessons. His expertise is backed by a high-level career in communication; prior to joining Senior Planet, Nathan coached leaders at global companies like Twitter, Visa, and Dropbox in San Francisco on the topic of public speaking. A former President of Toastmasters International and an award-winning stand-up comedian, he blends professional authority with a lighthearted, approachable style that keeps every session entertaining. When he isn’t facilitating, Nathan is a passionate guitarist and an avid traveler who has explored 22 countries.
