Course Description

This 5-week course explores the basics of using your smartphone’s digital camera. It will meet twice per week over Zoom, and you’ll access course materials on Senior Planet U, our online learning platform. You’ll learn how to take pictures, where they’re stored on your device, and how to delete them. You’ll also go over tips for taking selfies, recording videos, and sharing your photos! This course also introduces some fundamental photography principles about composition and lighting.

Please note: this course will focus only on the smartphone’s camera and will not cover other uses for your smartphone. If you have access to a computer or tablet in addition to your smartphone, we recommend that you connect to Zoom on that second device so that you can focus on using your smartphone for the hands-on components of the class.

Prerequisites: In order to use Senior Planet U, you must have an email address. In order to participate in the class, you must use a smartphone running iOS 10 or later (for iPhones) or OS 6 or later (for Androids).
