Durante nueve largos meses de COVID, hemos hecho todo lo posible para mantenernos a salvo. Muchos de nosotros podemos decir, con mucha cautela, que no nos ha afectado directamente. El poder de la gratitud no se desvanece durante una pandemia. La gratitud sigue siendo un fuerte aliado para sobrevivir y florecer independientemente de los acontecimientos mundiales.
¿Sabía que la gratitud puede tener un impacto positivo en su salud?
Los estudios demuestran que estar agradecido da un impulso a todas las partes de nuestra vida, un impulso en la positividad que nos ayuda a superar los días, especialmente cuando esos días son aterradores, y especialmente cuando nos sentimos desesperanzados y preocupados por el futuro de nuestro mundo.
¿Sabías que la gratitud puede afectar tu salud positivamente? Es cierto. Los adultos mayores, especialmente aquellos con sistemas inmunológicos comprometidos debido a la presión arterial alta, diabetes y otras enfermedades relacionadas con la edad, son más susceptibles al COVID-19. La gratitud, practicada con regularidad, puede mejorar su respuesta inmunológica a cualquier enfermedad, incluido el coronavirus.
Cómo permanecer agradecido
La gratitud hará el levantamiento pesado en ayudarle a sostener una actitud positiva. Puede mantenerlo lleno de energía, saludable y esperanzado, y también puede nivelar la amplia gama de emociones que enfrentamos a diario.
Reconocer la gratitud en tu vida es fácil:
- Comience hoy: Mire a su alrededor justo donde se encuentra y anote dos o tres cosas por las que está agradecido, luego expanda esta práctica a una visión más amplia todos los días.
- Dígalo en voz alta: Las expresiones de gratitud, incluso por las cosas mundanas, ayuda a hacerlas más prominentes. Aunque no podemos abrazarnos ni siquiera darnos la mano, podemos ofrecer agradecimientos por Zoom y otras vías en línea a través de emojis alegres o correos electrónicos de apoyo.
