Need help with your taxes? You might be able to get it for free. The AARP Foundation’s Tax-Aide initiative offers individualized tax help to low-and middle-income seniors at 6,000 locations nationwide. The help is provided by volunteer tax professionals, many of them retirees.
It’s easy to find your nearest Tax-Aide location using AARP’s handy online tool. Just search by zip; the tool pulls up a Google map and a list of locations – including public library branches and senior centers – and offers detailed info on days and times, handicap accessibility, contact phone numbers, e-filing provisions and whether or not walk-in appointments are available.
How cool is that! Click here to access the web tool.

I’d like to see answers to simple questions written clearly. For example; I have an inherited IRA. my father died in 2010 at age 89. I’m 75 and have been taking annual distributions according to the IRS tables. The IRS pub on the 10 year rule, seems to indicate the 10 year rule applies when the death occurred after 2020. But its not written clearly, and I can continue to take the annual distribution. But I cannot find a clear yes or no to this.
