Join this Wellness Wednesday group to discuss the different ways you can improve your physical, mental, and social well-being.
This week’s topic: Take control of your nervous system!
Celine Tien is the founder of Flowly and a Principal Investigator on National Institutes of Health-backed clinical trials investigating the application of new technology as intervention for chronic pain. Flowly is an NIH-backed mobile platform to help people with pain, stress, anxiety, and insomnia reclaim their health with VR and biofeedback therapy at home. Flowly is part of the AARP AgeTech Collaborative.
Our session will help attendees with achieving better mind-body health by teaching them how to deactivate their nervous system to shift from sympathetic to parasympathetic mode. While our session will be designed in a way for attendees to listen and learn, we believe that the best way to truly understand these techniques is to try them themselves. Our session will be highly interactive and will require the participation of our attendees. By the end of this session, our attendees will walk away with at least 3 techniques, ranging from breathwork to biofeedback, that they can utilize when they need to deactivate their nervous system.
