The library dips into its archives to present two rarely seen 16mm gems. Phyllis and Terry is a candid look at the friendship of two African-American girls on the LES in the 60’s. Yudie is a portrait of filmmaker Mirra Banks’ resilient 70-year old aunt; she talks about immigration and aging in her days in the labor movement and as an independent young Jewish girl.
