The Brooklyn Historical Society has a show up of lost photographs of Truman Capote in Brooklyn by David Attie — so they’re showing four Capote films, starting with this sweet Hollywood adaptation of the author’s novella. (Next up: “In Cold Blood on January 26.) Slate’s Kristen Meinzer and Newsday’s Rafer Guzman introduce it. Click here to RSVP at Eventbrite. Note that RSPing doesn’t guarantee you a spot. This is first come, first served; doors open at 6:30pm and the film starts at 7pm.
