You can enjoy this online look at the wonderfully idiosyncratic collection of works by folk and self-taught artists in this charming and enlightening exhibit.  Unique American voices and visions abound among the 70 works on display in  American Perspectives: Stories from the American Folk Art Museum Collection. You can read the inside story on each work at this (pretty large) file here.
