This week’s topic: Your Financial Safety Checkup: Stay One Step Ahead of Fraud
Most of us know we should protect our finances and identity online. This session is about actually doing it. Christina Riechers, a fintech veteran who spent a decade building financial products at Square, walks you through three specific actions that significantly reduce your risk of fraud and identity theft: proactively freezing your credit at all three bureaus (the step most people skip — and the most powerful one), adding a trusted contact to your financial accounts, and a quick check to make sure your phone and computer are protecting you the way they should. Christina will demonstrate each step on screen. You’ll leave with a free checklist and how-to guide to complete any remaining steps on your own. Join this session to learn how you can protect what you’ve worked for.
