The Reverend Dora DeVan’s Civil Rights Story

Rev. Dora DeVan (pictured right) was born and raised in Grenada, Mississippi, where she was active in the Civil Rights Movement and worked with the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Dora and the Moss family were active in the Civil Rights Movement as it moved throughout Grenada and its surrounding cities. 

A strong supporter of social justice, she is the 11th of twelve children born to Roosevelt Moss, Sr., and Rolena Moss. We were privileged to host her to share her story with the help of her niece, Theresa Moss, the family historian.
