Loved listening to the book read by the author ! The way she describes her emotions, I as a reader, can picture what she is feeling. Listening to her describing the town in Sicily where her husband’s family from make me want to travel to Sicily.
Enjoying the wealth of emotions so beautifully described by the author. Prompting me to re-read Joan Didon’s The Year of Magical Thinking, where she shares her journey in the aftermath of her husband’s sudden death.
I was also impressed with Locke’s ability to describe her emotions so vividly. The price of having a love so deep and vital is the depth of depression following its loss. It is so touching when her daughter wishes she could stop loving her father in the hope the pain would stop too.
Finished with part 2. This book is a roller coaster of emotions! I had it with me at an appointment and had a hard time holding back tears in public! Wow, just amazing.
Yes, I am caught up in the emotions she is expressing too. I like how her words paint a great picture of what is going on in her head!
