Open Thread Update: Favorite Lockdown Zoom Pastime
Since the lockdown, we’ve all embraced Zoom – for learning, for socializing and for…..what?
Last week we asked readers for their favorite ongoing Zoom activity – besides visiting with family (which we know would be #1!)
Turns out that lots of respondents love to stay current by watching lectures or talks (41 percent), and coming up right behind that is taking part in Senior Planet’s exercise classes (32 percent). The “Morning Stretch” class at 10am EST (info is here) is particularly popular.
Almost a quarter of respondents (22 percent) favored group chats with friends (my favorite, as well). The Senior Planet Book Club was the favorite online activity for 3 percent of respondents (join in here), and playing online video games was the favored activity for 2 percent
We’ll keep the poll and the thread open to you can still add your comments and take part in the poll – and let us know if there’s an online activity we missed. Tell us in the comments!

Getti g together with my Meetup groups over Zoom. I also watch movies with one of my Meetup groups over Facebook.
I love getting together with one (safe) friend once a week. We are both always with masks during the visit. Sometimes we watch a movie 8′ apart, sometimes we eat a meal, across her long table, also 8′. With masks when not eating.
I also have binge watched Netflix’s “The Good Witch” & “AWAY”, which are both awesome!!!
And I love Morning Stretch with Cas. Try not to miss it, ever!!
