From time to time, Senior Planet receives requests from casting agencies looking for help in finding senior subjects for film and television, as well as other requests for seniors to get involved in projects of various kinds. In our new occasional Bulletin Board feature, we’ll pass along any that look worth following up.
An ASAP Casting Call for NY Seniors
If you have ever wanted to star in an Internet commercial, then here’s your chance — maybe — but you’ll have to hurry. The Grande/Morris Casting agency is auditioning seniors for a TD Ameritrade online commercial . The agency is looking for real men and women who love to chat and are between the ages 60 and 100. No acting experience is needed for this paid opportunity.
In addition to being in the age range above, to be considered you must participate in an initial audition this Thursday, January 21. The audition will take place at a studio in Manhattan’s Flatiron District.
If at the initial audition you are among those selected to go to the next round, you will need to be available for a costume fitting on February 8. The filming for the commercial will most likely only take a day, but the casting agency will need participants to be available to film in NYC in the date range February 9–11.
If you meet all of the criteria and would like to be considered, email ASAP firstname.lastname@example.org with a short description of yourself and your contact information. You can also call the office with any questions at 646-415-8223.
Share Your Love Connection for “What Makes Love Last?”
What’s the secret to making love last? That’s what one graduate student at the UK’s University of Northampton wants to know. She is writing her dissertation on this topic and would like to speak with seniors in longterm relationships. If you are 60 or older and have been in a relationship for 20 years or more with the same partner, consider sharing your story.
If you meet the criteria, all you need to do is fill out a short online survey. The survey will be used for research purposes only and all of your information will be kept confidential.
