Opening soon,  the Senior Planet Exploration Center will be the first tech-themed senior community space in the United States—and more.

The Exploration Center is a whole new type of senior space—a cool, comfortable wi-fi enabled spot for older New Yorkers who want to get the most out of everything that aging with attitude means: classes and courses, skillshares, workshops, special events,  even a lecture series, plus a ton of tech resources:

  • 22 computers
  • 3 Skype stations
  • A gaming area with a supersize Wii screen
  • An array of mobile devices to play with
  • A 110” projector screen
  • A cozy lounge
  • Plus…

Stay tuned for our opening date (click here to sign up for our weekly New York events email and you’ll get the news right in your inbox).

See you at the Exploration Center!

  1. Instead of patronizing older people, why not hire them when they are qualified to work there. I have applied over and over and only 25 year olds ever get hired. I know because I make a point of finding out who gets hired after every rejection. This is pretty simple with Linkedin.

  3. Living in Manhattan on the west side, this sounds very interesting. I’ll certainly come by for a visit and check it out.

The computer courses I took several years ago at the Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center were great.

Look forward to seeing you soon.
