Do you teach Power Point ?
Not formally right now, but there seems to be a lot of interest. We can certainly have someone help walk you through the program or answer your questions during out “Tech Talk” hours. Stop by and we’ll do our best!
In design would be wonderful to learn.

I would like to know how to use Facebook. I am registered with Facebook and have no idea how to use it.
We’d be happy to help! We’ll have a group on Fridays called “Facebook Fridays” and that is just an informal group and can give you a jumpstart. We also teach Social Networking classes fairly regularly so that might be an option for you too… Also, we have great tech coaches here who can help walk you through some steps during “Tech Talk” hours. We hope this helps!
Have you considered offering a Foreign Language to help boost memory.
That’s a great idea! We’d love to get our hands on Rosetta Stone.. until then, we’ll start forming some language clubs… Parlez-vous français? Sprechen Sie Deutsch? ¿Hablas español?

Thanks Loretta! Yes, we will try to offer Skype workshops on a regular basis, and we have two dedicated Skype stations so if you ever want to come in to use the, you would be more than welcome! (Someone will always be there who can help set you up or assist if you need it)

How about free beginner computer use classes? Perhaps in Chinese and Spanish in adition to english..
Dear Waynetusa – We do offer our Basic Course in Spanish all around NYC and will most likely also be offering that at Senior Planet in April. We don’t have our cirriculum translated into Chinese (yet!) but we have a great event coming up in April that will be for our Chinese languages-speaking members – stay tuned for updates!
What is the fee?
Dear Garret – we are run by a nonprofit and just opened recently, so all of our programs are currently free-of-charge and you are welcome to come in for an orientation!
Do you offer computer maintenance instruction? For instance, I frequently get messages about speeding up my computer by disabling some of my start-ups and add-ons, but I can’t figure out which ones I can do without. Thank you.
